Randee LoyaCredential Analyst and Student Teaching Coordinator for the Graduate Program in Education Randee graduated from San Francisco State with a B.A. in Sociology and New York University with a M.A. in Higher Education Administration. Randee comes to Vanguard most recently from Scripps College in Claremont where she was the Director of Student Activities and Orientation. She is committed to supporting students and is excited for her calling to serve Vanguard and the surrounding community. She is a member of the Teacher Education Advisory Council and Credential Analysts and Counselors of California (CCAC). Randee was born and raised in Anaheim, California. In her spare time she enjoys serving in various church ministries, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. |

Michelle RomoCoordinator of the Graduate Program in Education Michelle holds a B.A. in Music Education and an M.A. in Religion, with an emphasis in Leadership Studies from Vanguard University. Her responsibilities include interviewing all incoming students, advising MA in Education students and office manager. She utilizes her organizational skills to develop systems for overall program management and provides personalized support to teaching credential and MA students. She is a member of the Teacher Education Advisory Council and Credential Analysts and Counselors of California (CCAC). Michelle has been working with the Graduate Program in Education since 1997. |

Shelley VatersSenior Administrative Secretary Shelley is a Southern California native and grew up in Northern California. Shelley and her husband Karl, have pastored Cornerstone Christian Fellowship in Fountain Valley for 20 years and have started the new ministry, New Small Church with Karl’s book, The Grasshopper Myth. They have three grown children: Veronica Vaters Beaver (Mrs. George Sam Beaver); Matt, a 2011 Business major graduate from Vanguard; and Phil, who is a current English major at Vanguard. Shelley comes to Graduate Education from the Liberal Studies department and Child Development Program. She started at Vanguard in 2003 and moved to Graduate Education in February of 2011. She enjoys spending lots of time with Karl, taking her golden retriever, Trixie, everywhere she can, Darth, her black cat who stays at home, reading, gardening, rock concerts and most of all with her family. |

Jacob LaneGraduate Education Student Worker Jacob is a current student at Vanguard University, majoring in mathematics and minoring in music. Jacob plans to use his mathematics degree to teach math in high school where he can be a light for Christ and use the gifts God has given him. He is minoring in music to prepare him for a worship leading position. He comes from the High Desert area in Southern California where he served in his church’s youth group and led the youth worship team. He loves mission work and has been on mission trips to Mexico and Russia. He enjoys playing guitar, visiting the beach, and spending time with friends and family. |
